Why do we need to set Boundaries?
Putting others' needs before your own will lead you to feeling manipulated, angry, resentful, exhausted and stressed. It may lead to burnout if not addressed.
We need to set personal boundaries to ensure relationships are mutually respectful, supportive and caring.
Weak or no boundaries leave you vulnerable and taken for granted and is not good for your mental health, well being, confidence and self-esteem.
Boundaries protect you from exploitative relationships so you do not get too close to people who don't have your best interests at heart.
Boundaries determine where I start and finish and where you start and finish.
If you want to learn more about this area I recommend you read a book by Dr.Henry Cloud and Dr.John Townsend entitled "When to say Yes,When to say No, To take control of your Life." Workbook available.
